Thanks Mike and Gail

The last set of pictures from Mike and Gail’s visit start here with our foggy visit to the Priory, then go on to show the BBQ at Dave and Mary’s, finishing off with Alnwick gardens on Sunday.

The BBQ was great, everyone seemed to have a good time.  Dave put on an excellent spread and the lions head was as popular as ever.

Tuesday morning we drove to the airport and saw them off.  It has been great to show Mike and Gail around the region and Edinburgh.

Andrea is now in serious holiday mode and is thinking deeply about training for the Great North Run.

A grand day for all at the BBQ on Saturday.

A BIG hurrah for the fantastic weather (I’m really on a roll for “good weather BBQ’s” )

Found a large tray of chicken on Sunday morning in the oven which I’d forgotten to put out!

Never mind, I think there was enough food for everyone.

Mike and Gail, you have been warmly received by all our friends, in fact, if you have lived nearer, you would have a queue at your gate now!

We have been out with Pam and Dave at the Gunner tonight for a meal to celebrate their Anniverary and we are looking forward to John’s birthday curry on Sunday.

Hope your journey home wasn’t too bad, Mike and Gail and we’re looking forward to talking to you soon.

    Love from, Dave and Mary

    Hi eveyone up North,
The jet lag is wearing off and it has finally stopped raining. The birds are in song and the cat is looking 10 years younger. A big THANK YOU to Andrea & John for having us at home and guiding us around Northumberland & Scotland, and to Dave & Mary for your hospitality, and to all the friends and family who made us so welcome. It was all so wonderful. we can picture where you daily lives take place now. Look us up if you come down our way. Luv Mike and Gail.
