Summer hols by the Tyne

Good news this week, Mike and Gail confirmed they are coming over in the Summer for a bit of sun… or at least some fish and chips.
We have started putting together a list of things and places we want to show them…
-
The Angel of the North
-
Durham Cathedral
-
Alnwick Castle and Gardens
-
Newcastle in all its glory including;
-
St James’ (a personal appointment with KK?)
-
The Bridges
-
Baltic and Sage
-
-
Hexham
-
Seahouses (including a boat trip to see some Puffins, cute little devils)
-
Edinburgh Castle and seabird centre
-
Holy Island and Lindisfarne
All in all, its going to be a busy three days… No, they are coming for longer than that but i’d imagine Andrea’s organisational skills and many coloured pens will be used to fit everything in.
Everyone is excited to have the Ma and Da over in our side of the world, a ’special’ evening away is being planned in conjunction with Graham, Beth and Lynne so there’s something to look forward to
We were all ready to book a break away for half term (I was about to enter my credit card details…) when I remembered my passport needed renewing sometime this year… it expires in March. So the forms were hastily filled in, non-smiling pictures taken at a booth in Tesco’s and a good chunk of cash gouged from the current account and hopefully I will have a new passport by next week. Then we can look at finding another mini-holiday
